Murphy & Family | Ireland | June, 2022

Maura and her husband took a “wonderful” trip to the North and South of Ireland with their three adult children in June 2022.
Here’s what they had to say about their trip:

How would you rate your trip?

5/5

Who was your travel expert?

Ann

How were your accommodations?

Great

What did you love?

Randles Hotel – Beautiful marble, needs update cosmetically, The best beds and a nice breakfast, oh but you can’t have breakfast before 7:30 so an early start doesn’t really work.

Park House Hotel – Great location, staff so friendly, worse beds ever ):, nice breakfast

Knockranny House Hotel – Wonderful accommodations, the best breakfasts on the trip.

Mill Park Hotel – Again wonderful accommodations, The best in house restaurant delicious! The worse breakfast of the whole trip.

Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?

Yes

What did you love?

We ALL can’t say enough about Nigel. He’s the happiest gentlemen to be around. The most punctual driver. He was suggestive and knowledgeable about so many areas: from places to eat to many local  attractions. He loves what he does and it definitely shows. Nigel gets 5 stars. Paul was equally wonderful. He was a bit more chatty and more historical. He also  changed up our itinerary due to weather which was much appreciated. Paul get’s a 4.5 stars, I believe it’s just the different personality. Both vehicles were spacious and spotless every day. This was definitely the way to see Ireland.

What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?

Cliffs of Moher are stunning, but they are weather depending. We ended up going twice..

Skellig Michael land tour was cancelled but the sea tour was interesting.

The Great Famine with Gabriel Kavanagh, shepherding demonstration and famine cottages

Sky Road is the way to travel north, just gorgeous.

Matt Molloy’s Pub Closed  –   maybe since covid

Due to weather we did not go to Slieve League instead we traveled to Northern Ireland to Free Derry. Bloody Sunday …. went to a musuem and checked out murals painted on many ends of homes in the area. Very enlightening being Irish Catholic.

What was your favorite part of the trip?

Killarney

Would you travel with us again?

Yes

How can we improve for next time?

not sure everything was wonderful
