Annie & Lark | Ireland | October, 2024

Referred by a friend, Annie and Lark contacted Crystal Travel to book a trip to Ireland for a family wedding. Since they’d already be in the country, they decided to extend their stay and experience more of what Ireland had to offer. They mentioned wanting to drive themselves, enjoying the freedom of traveling at their own pace, while staying in quaint, intimate bed-and-breakfasts and small inns. With this in mind, a personalized self-drive itinerary was created for them, incorporating their interests in quiet, scenic areas and lesser-known spots. The route allowed them to enjoy the open road, stop wherever they pleased, and experience authentic local hospitality during their stays.

How would you rate your trip?

Who was your travel expert?

Ann

How were your accommodations?

Great – The inn in Dingle was terrific with lovely water views and a spacious room and bath. The town was just a short walk along the waterfront. I did get a 24 hour bug there one day, but the staff could not have been more helpful and supportive!

Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?

Yes – Aer Lingus was on time, but for someone of Lark’s height, the seat on the flight over was very tight. Not sure if they had extra leg room seats, but that might have been a nice option for us. The flight back was roomier, as it was on a different type of plane.

What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?

We loved finding and visiting archeological sites along the way, with structures from 4000 years ago! The Rock of Cashel and the hour long tour was a high point. Driving the Wild Atalantic Way on the Dingle Penisula was a really fun, and a gorgeous day.

What was your favorite part of the trip?

Our time in Dingle.

Would you travel with us again?

Yes!

How can we improve for next time?

Cant think of a thing! Ann was superb, planning a trip that was so relaxed and well organised. We had little to worry about and just had a lot of time to enjoy it fully – definitely a trip to remember!
