Kristi and her partner Miguel reached out to Crystal Travel last year, needing assistance planning their honeymoon and hoping to ease some of the stresses which comes with wedding planning. They were eager to experience a combination trip to Ireland and Iceland, a popular choice thanks to the convenience of the destinations’ close proximity. Michaela stepped in, handling every detail—accommodation, tours, activities, and flights—ensuring the entire experience was seamless, perfectly tailored – and most importantly, stress free, for the couple’s first getaway as husband and wife!

How would you rate your trip?
Who was your travel expert?

How were your accommodations?
Great – Loved the Great Southern, it was so nice to have such a big space compared to the usual European hotel size. We also loved the ability to walk to everything we needed. In all the hotels, we have overall no real complaints. We did have one issue with room keys at The Hardiman, and it was annoying to keep having to go back to the front desk but I’m sure that’s not the norm.
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?
Yes – The bus in Iceland was super easy to navigate – far better than trying to drive on the tiny roads. Citylink was definitely better than Express.
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?
We loved the sheepdog experience that we did on the Ring of Kerry tour; also loved the cliffs, our tours were great! Iceland Express Golden circle had a lot of driving for quick stop off times, so that was a little more exhuausting but it was a lot of ground to cover. The northern lights were awesome – we saw them! The sky lagoon was very enjoyable too, we were there for a long time.
What was your favorite part of the trip?
We loved Iceland and starting with the food tour to kick the jet lag was brilliant – I think that will always be our new travel move. Also really enjoyed the convenience of everything being booked and trusting they would good hotels and tours, so thank you for doing the ground work.
Would you travel with us again?
Yes!
How can we improve for next time?
We really have no complaints. The one suggestion would be when we were designing our trip, it would have been helpful to know a couple of layouts with everything we were doing, as it just felt like we were covering a lot of ground in a short time and always on buses haha maybe it was just us that wasn’t prepared for being on the move the entire time.
