Great. Acton Hotel was very nice but our favorite was the Ballyseede castle. the staff there was super friendly. Fiddle and bow was the smaller of the rooms, but the staff, especially the dining staff, was also awesome. Honestly all of the hotels were great. if i had to pick a least favorite in would be The Grand in Malahide as it was just too big, but it was fine for our last night.
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?
Yes. I thought we were getting a car from the airport but we had a van, which was fine and the driver was very helpful. I upgraded the rental car to a bmw m5 and that was good for the curvy wet roads. I don’t like airplanes in general, but the flights were uneventful, which is good
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?
Dingle was the best. I wish we had two days there. and I think we needed two days for Aran Islands as the time on the island is short. if I had known the bikes were e-bikes I would have done that instead of the pony trap. The Trinity College in Dublin was awesome, but I would skip the Guinness thing. I tought it would be the real brewery, but the storehouse was not very exciting. the people in Ireland were always friendly so that was nice. the best nights we had were at McGans pub in Doolin. the food was great and the atmosphere was very comfortable. In Kinsale we ate at no. 19, and while it was not busy (we were the only people there) the steak and veggies were awesomely delicious. there is a new restaurant in Malahide called Town Yard and they got us in on a busy saturday without reservations and the dinner was the best of the trip. we really liked all of the old places. it was super rainy (Storm Babbet) when we stopped, but we really enjoyed walking around the abbey in Timoleague that has been converted to a cemetery. waterford was nice and we did the factory tour.
What was your favorite part of the trip?
Hard to say, but probably wandering off in the fog at Glogher Head and finding the ocean through the mist (I got in trouble for that) and also the nights in Doolin.

How can we improve for next time?
Not really sure. this process and Josephine were great. since we had never been to Ireland we placed a lot of trust in you, and it worked out. the next trip i want to stay in one area more and just venture out. I think Tralee area might be good for that.

How were your accommodations?
Great. All accommodations were above average – The Apex Waterloo in Edinburgh and the Grand Hotel in Malahide. Even the guest house in Inverness was spacious and boasted a most comfortable bed. Best of all were the locations – central to everything we wanted to do. I’m not usually a big breakfast eater, but they were too good to pass up!
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?
Yes. Air was delayed our first day, but our driver must have kept himself informed. Each and every driver was waiting for us when we made our timely arrivals. They were all very pleasant and informative and made us feel most welcome.
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?
Edinburgh Castle is a must see, but I would recommend all three of the Rabbie’s Tours we took. The torrential downpours interfered with the second day of our Highlands tour, but our driver/guide rose to the occasion and found great alternatives. St. Andrews was more exciting than expected since the Alfred Dunhill Golf Tournament was being played. Finally, the Hadrian’s Wall tour exceeded expectations. If I were to do this trip again, I think I would allow myself one more day in Edinburgh since it has so much to offer.
What was your favorite part of the trip?
It was all great, so really hard to list a favorite part. Naturally, the better weather days stand out, but the people were friendly everywhere we went and our tour guides were all fabulous – very knowledgeable yet possessing a sense of humor!

I don’t think you can! Ann at Crystal Travel understood exactly what we were hoping for in this trip and she made it happen!

Great. All hotels were convenient, comfortable, and good food! Great having breakfast included each day. Although not all rooms had a/c not a problem for fall season.
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?
Yes, all trains and bus rides went smoothly! The instructions included in the itinerary were very helpful!

Great. Attentive staff. Included breakfast. Clean rooms. Dingle Skellig was my favorite. I think it was the location. I must say they were all terrific.
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?
Yes. We loved our driver! Liam made sure we were happy. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves.
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?
The sheepdog show! And Dingle (everything about it)

Liam, with his attentiveness and humor made everything we did better!

Great. They were all wonderful.
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?
Yes. We had a great driver, great tour guide., loved the accommodations and the food. Did not like the hop on hop off for one day when we were able to walk to our destination. Flights were good.
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?

What was your favorite part of the trip?
Family visit and the music night, which was not scheduled at all, of Celtic Steps.

Okay. Park House and The Lake Hotel were clean and fine. The food was awful. Room service for breakfast at Park House got our orders wrong both mornings, food under cooked. Lake House was greasy and not edible.
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?
Yes. Our driver John Rice was a gem. Amazing insight, very knowledgeable. Brought us to off the beat and path locations. I truly think we saw parts of Ireland that only a lucky few have seen. We would highly recommend him and would use him again in a heartbeat
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?
Ashford castle was fun. Beautiful estate, and high tea was fun and a once in a lifetime experience. Cliffs of Moher was amazing. John took us to Dingle, a beautiful seaport area that wasn’t on our itinerary but a beautiful addition to our trip. He took us to Dun Mor Head, breathtaking views. Galway and Killarney were fun spots to wander and shop and eat. Great vibes. Friendly people.
What was your favorite part of the trip?
Seeing my adult children excited and ask questions to our guide. Jumping out of the car to take pics and wander the hillside. Great food in Killarney!! Shops in Galway were great.

How can we improve for next time?
I wouldn’t recommend Kylemore Abbey. Not much of a tour, we were done in 20 minutes.
Burren National Park was overrated in my opinion. A long drive for nothing, There were lovely hotels in downtown Killarney I would have preferred. I felt like we would have enjoyed to be in the downtown area. Very quaint and the Lake House was very far removed. On the flip side, we stayed at a beautiful hotel in Dublin, but we were literally surrounded by clubs/pubs and partiers were outside our window till 4am so had a hard time sleeping. But the accommodations were stunning.

The Abby was not very interesting.

No. This was not Crystal’s fault, but our flight was canceled. The driver in Ireland was great!

Cliffs of Moher, Killary Sheep Farm, Slea Head Drive, Kilmainham Gaol
What was your favorite part of the trip?
All the views of the ocean, the cliffs, the farms.

Great. I loved that everything was taken care of and didn’t have to worry about a thing. The hotels were better than I expected and the bus was spotless and comfortable.
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?
Yes. The flights were perfect… No delays and we had great seats. We weren’t stuck in the four middle seats. Nice window seats both ways. The tour guide, John Doran did an amazing job making sure we had everything we needed and took good care of us. He was funny and knowledgeable. He really kept everyone entertained.
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?
I really enjoyed Galway and the Aran Islands and of course The Cliffs Of Moher.
What was your favorite part of the trip?
My favorite part was bing with my sisters and niece for a solid 9 days…
Would you travel with us again?
Yes. I can’t think of anything you could do to improve the experience. It truly was a trip of a lifetime!

Great. Atholl palace most palatial and very extensive grounds. Malmaison Hotel in St Andrew Square said reservation was at Tower Square which was a couple of miles from center city. Corriegour Lodge Hotel Most hospitable of all hotels

Yes. Scenery on the Isle of Skye was spectacular.
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?
We were just in time to see the Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle.
What was your favorite part of the trip?
Going through Glencoe.

Some hotels were a little distant from towns we wanted to visit in the evening.

Did not expect Scotland to be so dependent on the internet for simple transactions like parking and we had times were we did not have service.

Yes. I loved all of Ireland. The weather was fabulous while we were there. The driver made the trip. He was so knowledgeable about Ireland and took us to great places.

We loved the Titanic Museum, The black taxi cab tour in Northern Ireland. The Cliffs of Moher. Keem Beach on Achill Island.

Great. Dingle skelig. All hotels were great locations to explore.
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?
No. The car we were supposed to be in was out of commission so in a different car for our trip. First vehicle had no ac, second vehicle was fine. Josie responded and ended up crediting us for the difference so it all worked out!
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?
Loved the drive through the ring of Kerry and waterfall. LOVED everything in Dingle and all of the stops on the way to Galway.

Dingle for sure- scenery, shops and restaurants, sites and hotel were great!
