This lively town on Ireland’s west coast is known for its charming streets, vibrant pubs, and a warm welcome. It’s the perfect base to begin your Irish adventure.
Your morning begins with a drive through the stunning landscapes of Connemara, where dramatic mountains meet tranquil lakes. Pause at Kylemore Abbey, a striking neo-Gothic castle nestled against a picturesque lake and gardens. Continue along the Sky Road, a route offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic coastline. Let the untamed beauty of Connemara set the tone for the rest of your trip.
Spend a leisurely morning on Achill Island, famous for its untouched beauty and golden beaches. Take in the peaceful atmosphere while exploring remote trails or stopping at scenic overlooks like Keem Bay. In the afternoon, return to Westport to wander its streets, perhaps popping into local shops or enjoying a meal at one of its celebrated restaurants.
Set off early for a day of exploration en route to Cork. The Cliffs of Moher will undoubtedly be a highlight, with their sheer drop into the Atlantic offering jaw-dropping views. Take your time walking along the cliff paths and visiting the interpretive center. Afterward, continue your journey south, arriving in Cork, a city alive with history, culture, and excellent dining options.
Venture into the scenic and less-traveled regions of West Cork. The landscapes here are defined by rolling hills, quiet bays, and colorful towns. Explore villages like Skibbereen or Baltimore, each with its own unique charm. This is a day for immersing yourself in rural Ireland, away from the crowds.
Head to the coastal town of Cobh, where history comes alive at every turn. This was the final port of call for the Titanic and a gateway for countless Irish emigrants seeking new beginnings. Visit the Cobh Heritage Centre to delve into these stories or simply stroll the harbor and admire the pastel-colored houses climbing up the hillside.
Leave Cork and embark on the Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland’s most famous driving routes. The loop offers a mix of rugged coastline, charming villages, and sweeping mountain views. Stop for a late lunch in Killarney, where lively streets and a welcoming atmosphere await. Finish your day in Bunratty, settling into your final cozy B&B.
From Bunratty, make your way to Shannon Airport, reflecting on the memorable experiences of the past week as you prepare for your journey home.

Optional Add-On
Instead of Shannon, head to Dublin to experience Ireland’s bustling capital. Return your car upon arrival, then explore the city at your own pace. Walk along the River Liffey, soak up the atmosphere of Temple Bar, or enjoy a meal in one of the city’s many top-notch restaurants.
Spend the day diving into Dublin’s rich history and culture. Tour the Guinness Storehouse for a behind-the-scenes look at Ireland’s most famous stout, or visit the Jameson Distillery for a whiskey tasting. A stop at Kilmainham Gaol offers a powerful insight into Ireland’s path to independence.
Use your second full day in Dublin to explore lesser-known gems. The EPIC Emigration Museum provides an interactive look at Ireland’s global diaspora, while Glasnevin Cemetery offers fascinating stories of the people who shaped the nation. Alternatively, enjoy some time shopping on Grafton Street, with its mix of high-end stores and street performers.
Bid goodbye to Dublin and make your way to the airport for your flight home, carrying with you memories of Ireland’s landscapes, history, and culture.

All hotels and accommodations included in your trip are carefully selected to meet a 4-star standard or higher. While we occasionally book 3-star hotels or B&B properties, they must meet our high standards of quality and comfort. To ensure consistency, we strive to have a team member visit each property regularly or conduct a thorough site inspection.
The tour package does not include flights to and from the tour’s starting location, but we are happy to provide you with a flight quote for your trip to Ireland, along with travel protection for the duration.
Although booking flights might seem straightforward, hidden fees or service classes without seat assignments, meals, or checked bags can arise. With our experience since 1985, we are familiar with the best routings and have access to great contracts, often offering better prices than those available online.
Your first vacation quote, and up to two revisions, for trips of 9 or fewer days, and 45 days in advance of travel, are complimentary. If an itinerary requires further revisions subsequent to this, we will require a non-refundable deposit of $75 per person in order to continue.
If you are requesting a quote for a vacation that is 10 days in length, or with travel dates within 45 days, or to a non-core destination, a deposit of $75 per person will be required in order for us to begin working on your proposal.
Planning deposits can then be put towards the cost of the trip should you decide to proceed with the booking.
If you would like to create a custom itinerary before or after the tour to extend your trip, we would be happy to assist with this.
